Dedicated to the memory of Alfred Dixon

Dad had many passions throughout his life, pushing the word eclectic to the limit: trains, food, fishing, cars, the occasional can of Fosters, food, Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals, violin concertos, food, rugby, Formula One, and did we mention food? But Dad's lifelong passion was his birds. From climbing up trees to inspect eggs in their nests as a young boy, to sailing alongside albatrosses in the Pacific ocean as a Navy seaman, to focusing his binoculars on the bird feeder in the garden in retirement, the simple sight of our fluttering friends brought Dad much solace, comfort and joy. He was a longtime supporter and member of the RSPB and we would be most grateful for donations to this cause in his memory.
